To initiate the process, please use the attached Reinstatement Form.

• Contact your DSO: Discuss your termination and see if you're eligible for reinstatement.
• Get a Reinstatement I-20: Your DSO must issue a new I-20 recommending reinstatement.
• Prepare Form I-539: This is the official application for reinstatement submitted to USCIS.
• Include supporting documents, Such as a personal letter, proof of full-time enrollment, and an explanation of the violation.
• Please wait for a decision: It may take several months. Don’t travel or work during this time.
